My new year's resolution is to play more video games with my wife. Specifically co-operative games.
I hate playing competitively; it's rubbish to achieve victory at the expense of someone else. So I asked for recommendations and picked the cheapest things which looked reasonable.

@Edent we played that a bunch with my spouse and oldest kid some years ago. That level with the timed explosion was rough for us. I enjoyed figuring out good upgrade combos. This makes me think we should play it again - thanks!
If you haven't already, you might want to check out Untitled Goose Game. I've enjoyed playing it both solo and with my spouse:

In terms of gameplay value per dollar, Stardew Valley and Terraria top the list for me. I play them solo but both support multiplayer as well.
