Looked at the UN report on "AI" (written by a bunch of mostly computer scientists who to a large degree have close ties to big tech) and it's really bad.
Just "AI" hype based on studies that are long shown to be garbage.

Problem is: It's a long document and going through it in detail showing that for example relying on "epoch.ai" (an effective altruist ai think tank) for your studies and data might not be smart just takes so much time.
@tante
Oh EA + AI! I know the answer to this formula!
= the worst people ever.
So the corporate stance that "agentic AI will totally change the world" is what the UN beams into politician's brains.
We're cooked.
Like this graphic is complete hogwash. The title makes literally no sense. And the rest is basically: "People slowly adopt technology and integrate it into their life".
Sure we need a bunch of CS professors and people from Meta and Deepmind to tell us that. This is pur boxology without any meaning. It's spam.
@tante That diagram is the sort of content that goes viral on LinkedIn with all the “ex-McKinsey” in their bio types liking and sharing
@tante yes, but what do they predict on blockchain
@tante Love the way they put the elephant in the room - the very good reasons for not using AI - in a little box off to the side.
@tante are we quite sure this isn’t written by an LLM? Because it sounds like it’s written by an LLM.
@tante Oh, but the title makes sense if you read it as a disease being transmitted.
@tante it's because the LLM spew the same bullshit they do they're in love with it.
@tante "the 7 stages of grief of AI adoption"
@tante Ahahaha, this goose produces absolutely no fucking value. What a waste of space this is.
