We last played #JetLagHideAndSeek in Germany, almost a year ago. And it was Bad.

It’s the first time we played the game. We jumped straight (well, queer) into the deep end. We had a few showers of cold water, in one case after carrying around a stupid number of litres of it around. We were splashing about with no real idea of how to play, or what made this game amazing. We braved Sauna-like temperatures, fresh mountain herb aromas, and after it all our shoulders definitely needed a massage…

It was a glorious game, but also a very Bad one.

Specifically because we ended up in three spa towns, or Bader: Bad Salzungen, Bad Blankenburg, and Bad Neustadt.

A year on, we have a much better idea of what we are doing, and we are committed to making this game much less Bad.

...and wow, Germany has a lot of stations and halts.

This is making my phone struggle with the mapping software we use, and I've had to break out the laptop to answer questions.

The first, somewhat unexpected, question is whether the station where I'm hiding has the same first letter of where the seekers are at (Hannover Hbf). This was apparently very much of a YOLO move, and it didnt' work, as my station starts with one of the other 25 letters of the alphabet.

They then asked if I was closer to the coast than them, which I'm not.

They also asked if I was closer to a major city than them, which I'm not.

And finally they asked if I was in the same Länder as them. Again, no.

The map is looking very central Germany at the moment.

For thos of you trying to follow the game: I have three hours from when I board my first train In Hannover to get to my hiding zone.

The seekers are on the move! They’ve asked for a 5km thermometer south of Göttingen towards Kassel that has somewhat split the map into a much more manageable blob…

They have also established that I am within 160km of Kassel
