What's the strangest tool you have ever worked with? For me, it was a giant contraption made out of PVC pipes and tubing called, as I recall, the hydrodynamic root elutriator. Its job was to remove the soil from samples of native grass roots. I lost many brain cells working with PVC glue in a tiny basement room, probably.
