@takosix This was interesting. I kind of look back on my (American) Uni days and think why cheat? Well, not saying it's valid but the environment kinda breeds cheating. You've got to finish as many classes as possible in a short amount of time (you're paying a lot so you want to finish within 4 years), and you're made to take classes you don't really want to and are not relevant to your degree. Also a bad grade is seen like a death penalty to your career, which I have always found to be awful.
@crysterious @takosix yes for mid career switches it’s almost irrelevant, but for internships, first time jobs, academia and scholarships, very relevant and people look at it (from personal experience). And often it’s these that define your career (personal opinion ofc).
