I think AI can be a tool, but very skeptical that it can save money. It's like asking someone random from a university, it can help, but mostly it's disruptive in how things are normally done.

I think restricting who has access to the software is not useful. There will be competition, and people outside the EU will have similar capabilities. What is important is that we have access to good software that is capable of finding security issues. That does not necessarily mean we need to develop it, or build the infrastructure to run it.

If you intend to invest in software, please make everything about it available to everybody: code, training data, weights.

@EUCommission Please fund only Open Source model, not Freeware model, only true Open Source model, those distributed with the training data set, allowing multiple instance of the model to be rebuilt, ensuring they have less hidden bias. ... Or just train and pay more infosec engineers, investing in people

Lol, nope. It is just calling people out on their bullshit more heavily now. Formerly people bullshitted their way through things like e.g. risk assessments instead of actually fixing the issues.

Also because of how sloppy the code AI generates is it is way more likely for the "attacks" to corrupt systems or just create too much noise to be detected.

It's not like we didn't know about these issues before...
