@khinsen Thanks for sharing this! I wrote an essay called "Towards convivial science" (https://qspace.fqxi.org/competitions/entry/2310). It was for a competition, but wasn't formally published. I've been meaning to come back it in the the context of computation specifically, so really nice to see other takes on this!

@SylviaFysica Thanks for your essay! The conviviality of science as a whole is a relevant topic in particular now as Open Science becomes fashionable - which for some people means more conviviality and for others more industrial productivity!
