what an insane waste of time and energy for 99% of users

1. How is the ink supplied?
2. How is the paper supplied? I haven't seen paper on a real like that anywhere in my life.

@fj I've seen it already some time ago, and having worked myself with inkjet technology (under NDA) since the early 90s, I just wonder if they run into any patent/license issue. There should be no issue if for a personal project I buy a branded cartridge and make it work, but making a business out of it (even if sharing as open source) makes me wonder.
And yes, there also are cartridge repurpose companies already, I know. I'm anyway curious.

That's the industry standard.

@fj I have signed up to receive updates. I hope I can purchase it in Singapore and Malaysia and be able to use it with the right ink cartridges available here. It sounds great.

whats the betting that HP simply revises the cartridge firmware to block the use of the cartridge outside of an authorised printer (i.e. the reverse of what they already do)?

I love the idea of cheap A3 printing, but I brought a Brother so a lot of the other concerns are not so huge.
