@tante yes, exactly. and remember that only private citizens are capable of extremism. nobody in government or corporate leadership is an extremist no matter how outrageous their beliefs are, because they're normal hard-working American taxpayers etc.
@tante What's extreme is this nascent technology getting nearly trillion-dollar-valuations with no proven track record of improving the lives of users while the corporations hyping it are seeing absolutely no ROI.
@tante Every few years, Republicans in particular find some ordinary behavior to classify as extremism, and it always makes me worry that I'm not extreme enough. Like, if not believing that AI will accidentally vomit up a libertarian god makes me an extremist, I might as well embrace the role...
@tante You're also anti-fascist and believe trans rights are human rights. Probably even that vaccines are good.
We're both extremists according to the US government.
@tante When they are slowly but surely lowering the watermark of what qualifies as a terrorist you can be sure they have some pretty fucking evil plans, especially when you plainly see how many innocent people they are willing to murder in pursuit of "terrorists"
@tante This is getting really, really stupid. Also the war criminal Tony Blair is trying to extract profit from the "AI" booster grift.
@tante this framework was initially begun under Biden and so once the runway was initially put in place, of course it would be exploited and expanded further

@tante Wonderful, a new type of 'terrorist'. Everybody who dont like the current setup is a terrorist.
