@paninid Ah, no apparently it's not on their roadmap. As long as this means manually updating the software, I won't do that.
But, we also host sharkey.world for example , where you can post over 5000 characters

I think I read somewhere that they want to make this a configurable option in mastodon. If they do, we will increase it.
Let me ask them about it.
