I know I shouldn’t judge people by how they look but sometimes I get hung up on certain tiny detail. Like - Newsome’s hair. Or Melania’s eyes.
Can’t really explain it but they seem very untrustworthy because of these features

@farah Within social constraints, we make choices about how we look and what we wear in order to send messages about who we are, what we value, and what we believe, from obvious things like buttons with political slogans or necklaces with religious symbols, to more subtle things like the way we wear our hair.
"Never judge a book by its cover" is misleading when the author chose the title and consulted with the artist who illustrated it. The authors don't always get to do that, but they do often enough that it's reasonable to take it into consideration.
It's the fakeness. Our human eyes are like "NO!".

@farah I think it's because they have a distorted image of themselves and so they project what, to them, they think should be normal but which is actually uncanny. Like that orange narcissist we all hear so much about. The clown makeup was a red flag.

@farah Former French President currently in Jail for providing favors to Khaddafi in exchange for illegal campaign funds. It is probably just my association of his face with his vile, racist, thug personality. the only good thing about him is that he provided evidence that real democracies put former heads of state in jail.
