Got a new MacBook with my new job. Was interested to find that the Liquid Glass interface is as gross as everyone said. I'm not sure what offends me more:
* The liquid glass things I can't read now
* Thinking my monitor is failing because backgrounds of things are patchy looking (because they're not opaque)
* Putting a useless icon on every damn thing in system menus.
Well, I shan't be updating my personal macs anytime soon.
@toychicken the M3 MacBook that work gave me in 2024 is still on Sequoia and I’m holding off upgrading to Tahoe as long as I possibly can.
Is it also true that Apple Intelligence kills the battery life?
@eatyourgreens Honestly, I've been genuinely astonished how good the battery is on this thing. (M5 MacBook Pro) - Days of moderate use... But I don't think Apple intelligence is turned on.
Not sure I'd know what it was.
