Today I want to share a TestFlight for a new app I’m working on. I’m very excited about it & what it can hopefully be to people. In short I think we need more apps that bring us joy and surprise. I made the journaling app I think can do just that & it’s called Timefall. It’s centered around journaling to your future self. I wrote up a blog post about it as well going into detail. I’d love for you to try it 😊

What if a notification could be enjoyable? There is a new app I have been working on that I’m really excited about. Something different than anything I’ve done at this point. I want to make an app that is laser focused on a simple concept and tries to execute it well. To make an app that will bring people joy and surprise them. My new app is called Timefall. Whats that?

Composing entires in Timefall focuses on 3 things: a title, message, and a delivery options. The app aims to surprise you so these delivery options are not exact. You have built in ones like deliver tomorrow, or this month. But if you like you can create your own. After you compose an entry and send it the entry won’t be visible in the app until you receive a notification with the entry. After you view it and mark it as read you can read it or edit it in the app as many times as you like.

When you receive the entries it should feel special. You are receiving something from you after all. I build a delivery view that hopes to make the experience fun. If you have at lease one image with an entry it will show a blurred version of that photo. A circle will appear giving you a glimpse of whats underneath. You then can drag the circle to reveal what the photo is. After you do a button will appear to read the entry.

I have a lot of detail in the blog post linked above. This is still a very early beta of the app but I’m eager to get more people using it. I think it can be a fun app and a little different from what you might see in the journaling category.
