@eivind Looking for alternatives as well - I'm part of the community (for accessibility testing, and for some plugins Italian translation including ActivityPub) and I'm quite "dependant" on WordPress's editor to publish and design templates in a system with accessibility in mind, due to their (still large) accessibility testing team.
But this intention of embracing automatized development/creation from the base, is not the right way. Due to my visual disability (blind) I have used, and use, so-called "AI" in some tasks such as image descriptions. One of my blind networking friends say they use it to build pages as well, but what literally scares me is the complete lack of control. On licenses, and on what they develop. If today they give you the ability to create with a quite affordable price for the API, what happens tomorrow? All this datacenter stuff is devastating environment and manipulating reality.
