I posted the link to "This Changes Everything" by Klein not more than a week ago.

I consider that table stakes for the discussion about capitalism and climate catastrophe. And yeah you can find more sophisticated analysis - but that's really the whole point. Klein wrote a book anyone can read. I assume you have or at least have caught the basic gist of it. It's in the subtitle. "Capitalism vs. the Climate" - as in one or the other

You should probably also read The Shock Doctrine - particularly if you doubt me when I say the rich ppl are legit trying to kill you for money.

Again it's not that you can't get these ideas from other sources - you can. But Klein makes pop culture analysis. It's accessible as fuck and it's not dumbed down - I thoroughly enjoyed all her work even though her and I have clearly read many of the same books.

You don't even have to READ it, last I checked they make fucking documentaries you can watch in 2-3 hours out of almost everything Klein has ever written.

And it's not Klein, I'm not saying she's a genius. But she speaks your language. She's a wonderful academic - she just knows knowledge must move beyond the academy to be useful to society. It's a lesson a lot of people with a university degree need to learn, quite frankly.
