@lislegaard @meljoann ‘controlling the narrative’ is such a systemic issue and used by so many and really doesn’t have a basis in reality because they fabricate something as the ‘new truth’ which is then repeated enough and regurgitated enough that it ends up being used as ‘evidence’ to perpetuate said ‘new truth’ to the point that it just goes round and round - where it stops nobody knows.
I am very appreciative of the community here to have some refuge from all the above.

So Celeb X got 100M fake views and now has a new yacht. Kinda… who cares?!
Most artists on here actively don’t want to be rich. And it’s obvious we can’t compete with these stealth marketing campaigns that cost $100,000.
Case in point: it’d take the likes of me over 10 years to earn that $100,000. That’s all my day job + arts income, & assuming I eat air and live on the street. Because yeah, I’m using allll that income to subsist, not to pay bots.
So yeah, I’m here on the Fediverse
So:
Person A’s art is culturally relevant, and Person B’s is not. Because… Person A had hundreds of dollars to throw at manufacturing hype.
Where Person A is Goose or Geese or whatevs, and Person B is ME & all of us incredible Fedi artists
