@gerrymcgovern The government could prevent this by e.g. requiring that new energy projects must be equally (or even majority) owned by the peoples indigenous to the land they want to build on -- but of course there's no "profit" in that. >.<
@woozle But, sadly, that wouldn't stop the mining. There's no clean mining, no green mining, no renewable or sustainable mining. All mining is environmentally devastating. And we are fast approaching a point where we will be mining a Mt Everest worth of materials and waste every year. We won't survive that sort of devouring.
