Just heard a Yardbirds song I didn't know followed by a Rolling Stones song I didn't know.
I can totally see how the Stones derive from American blues. Damned if I can tell how the Yardbirds did, or their descendants Led Zeppelin, tho they told everyone who would listen that American blues was their jam.
Working theory: they were listening on Bluetooth pods that were paired at the time with a different source than they thought.
