@vruz who's to blame? There's a very good academy, turning out some really good players. But a lot have been sold on - struggling to break into Klopp's team - and wanting regular football. I'd love there to be more local talent in the team as we're down to just Curtis, and Rio is a season or two away from getting into the senior England squad. I've maybe missed someone?
@30yrdscreamer Trent. There were hopes that Trent or Curtis would step up to become captain one day. I don't see a clear path for young players since Jurgen left.
I think it was indeed an extremely steep thing to climb due to the incredible quality at the top, but we still saw the likes of Danns, Quansah, Bradley, and Nuyoni emerge under Klopp. There were others like Morton, Williams, Doak, McConnell who had their chance but didn't make it for one reason or another.
@30yrdscreamer It's a strange situation to step into the club right now, completely different situation from a year ago when Wirtz and Frimpong were thrilled to move to LFC.
