It's absurd that someone buying a new Mac to use as a software development machine is concerned that 24 GB of RAM won't be enough. I guess the concern is rational considering that current Apple machines can't practically be upgraded after purchase. But still, 8 GB should be plenty, never mind 24.

@matt What about 16 GB? I wanna get a mac at some point but my finances are fucked 6 ways from Sunday and I need to save up, and somehow stop my mother from nagging me to lend her money every couple of weeks.
@alexchapman I think 16 GB is probably a nice comfortable amount for most development work.
