It's easy to find the rusted lining on the silver cloud and say that in Hungary the opposition party isn't sufficient.
But, put that aside and think about what that election did for the MORALE of the people and what it said to the world!
It's NOT pointless or it's NOT hopeless.
The people who love to say "vote" sometimes are seen as against those who say "protest" but in reality voting and protesting are more similar than either side might want to admit.
Protesting can be pretty pointless, you can make fun of protests and make them seem performative.
But there isn't a single fascist who enjoys seeing the people in the streets saying they want him gone. It's always bad news when that happens. And it proves we are not alone and we outnumber them.
Voting works in a similar way. Losing is for LOSERS. Everyone gets this. Even fascists. If they have to repress the elections? Well, force them to do that. It shows they are weak.
