If you can convince people that their vote won't be counted, that it won't matter, that voting might be scary with ICE agents at the polls, that Elon can just do magic hacking with space lasers and change the result anyway... you can depress turnout.
This is all nonsense. Voting does do something and this simple fact is so inconvenient and frustrating that tons of money and energy is spent trying to convince you otherwise.

Voting doesn't mean you are naive and think one may simply vote the fascism away. We know it's not that simple.
Do not skip it. If it didn't matter, if we were past the point where it did there wouldn't be such a struggle.
A very public rejection at the ballot box is a big problem for any politician. It creates space for better leadership. It lets people who are not supposed to ever win taste victory and that makes those people bold.
Don't skip it.

Voting doesn't mean that you endorse the "current system" -- It's not an ideological badge.
Telling people that you aren't going to vote because you are sick of people who think voting solves everything isn't teaching people what else they should be doing beyond voting. It's just making them feel like everything is fractured and they can't even do something simple and small and have it be effective.
