Look, Google, I know you're not reading this. At least not as a sentient being. But I'll try anyway.
If I really wanted to avoid a search page full of links, I would have hit the "I'm feeling lucky" button. But between years of failing to keep up with the SEO'ed garbage (a victim of your own success) and the full screen worth of ads that I have to scroll past, I've just started searching elsewhere.
It's not that DDG is better at finding things, and I do miss the doodles, but the results are generic* enough that I don't come away wondering what else they know about me.
(And honestly, I'm usually looking for the first link to Wikipedia that I can find. Or maybe IMDB.)
