I find it somewhat humorous that everyone currently voting against a proposed policy for release manager selection is a release manager.

@ramsey Not uncommon with these types of things, where those loosely in a group have one view of how things should be run, and the people who have taken a turn in the hot seat wind up with a different perspective. I'm going through that right now trying to help somebody with a convention. The focus changes when you've been in charge a few times.
