Anyone working at Apple following me?
Please make it possible in Safari to select Kagi as search engine.
Thank you.

@thomasfuchs From the outside, this really looks like putting up with an abusive relationship. They don't let you pick just any search engine? Apple must really like that 20 billion a year.
@theeclecticdyslexic def not their finest hour
@thomasfuchs it's *probably* more effective to have lots of people file "Feedback": https://www.apple.com/contact/feedback/ (or through their developer/enterprise support accounts, if they have them)
Apple does actually read those, so if you do get a champion inside Apple, having lots of requests will help them make the case.
see browser extension to get it:
i use vivaldi with kagi on my mac. what is the problem with safari?
@PeterSommerlad as I said you can’t configure Safari to use Kagi as search engine. (This isn’t something anyone but Apple can make happen.)
i only use safari on my ios devices and there i can configure kagi as the default search engine (i believe it comes with an app to do so). need to check what happens on my macs with that.
(Yes I know why it’s not supported, that doesn’t change that you should bring this to management. The more often they hear it the likelier it is that they’ll put their customers over their contract with Google.)
