Wishing that when people described themselves as "Jesus freaks" or "Bible-believing Christians" or whatever, that it meant something like "believes that god hates rich people and that wealth is incompatible with belief in Christ" and not usually just "white supremacist, homophobe, etc."
I remember back when I counted myself among the superchristians
"Don't soften the hard teachings of Christ" was a whole Thing
"If you're rich you're not a Christian" is about a clear as anything in the Bible
So where *are* the Christians who even acknowledge this in any way whatsoever?
Oh you're a Christian?
Which poor person did you give all your money to?
Oh you didn't do that?
Jesus was pretty specific about that
Anyway, before someone comes in here calling me a hypocrite, I'm not a Christian myself
I'm a dirty leftie heathen hippie and if I ever met god, I'd probably try to kill the bastard (YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID)
@researchfairy Tepid take - I think that their actions should be classified as taking God's name in vain
