There's no setting to change it, but some Community members are using custom CSS to change it. If modifications (https://forum.vivaldi.net/category/52/modifications) are something you're willing to try out, you can try out what's suggested on:

@Vivaldi Terminology confuses me and the android UI as well groups, bookmark folders flikar, staplade flikar
@Vivaldi now all I need is a way to auto hide the tab bar but show it only when I switch tabs (such as via keyboard shortcuts or tab scroller)

First thing: bookmark import from Firefoy does not work 🤯
I'm guessing you did the import during onboarding, right? What if you try it again from the 
main menu > File > Import from Applications or Files. If you have multiple profiles, make sure to select the correct one. Does that work?
@Vivaldi No, both ways so not work. Already tried to freshly install Vivaldi. Still does not work…

By the way, another option is to export the bookmarks as an HTML file from Firefox and import that file to Vivaldi.

@Vivaldi I have to admit, this looks really nice. I love how everything flows together now. The accent color with the unified look is not overwhelming anymore... it is really nice.

@Vivaldi Damn I missed this. Tomorrow the work day will probably start a bit delayed. I need to look at this. I already have in the bark in my head that I need to switch to Vivaldi, but I wanted to take the time to get to know the Browser. Good thing I procrastinated this, so I don't have to learn it twice.
