Been spending a lot of time hacking health. Spent a year dropping a lot of weight (I don’t track numbers, but likely somewhere in the 90lb range) and lifting weights.
At age 50 it feel good… real good.

Congrats!
I keep on trying to get moving on this myself, there's about 30lb I'd love to see gone. Just have not been able to get the exercise habit started up again.
@anthracite the other side of that is… that’s just how bad my normal habits are I guess. :)
Sigh I am lucky.
I lost the weight simply by eating healthy, no real exercise.
After I dropped the pounds then I looked at me and said… “self, this still ain’t cuttin’ it!”
Now I have to find room for my home gym while not angering the missus.
@thegibson @anthracite there’s pretty good evidence that exercise doesn’t do much for weight loss. A bunch of other benefits, and being fit is much better for maintaining weight, but yeah: for *losing* weight it seems diet is by far the biggest factor and everything else is a bit of a drop in the bucket.
@thegibson Good to hear that, man.
@thegibson hell yeah dude! I am clocking in at -26lb right now, same vibe. One day i'll catch up!
@voltur keep going!
You’ll thank yourself before you know it.
I am largely trying to maintain now, if I get below 220 I start lookin’ funny.
