Something that occurs to me...
The people I've cited in my recent talk ( https://adrian.geek.nz/alt-tech-futures.pdf ) ended up mostly being those who wouldn't mind me being anti-"AI". Some of them were chosen for that reason, but certainly not all!
Dijkstra's dead but I do know he didn't like the field of AI even being founded, considered natural-language programming to be a pipe dream, & liked the idea of people saying "Dijkstra wouldn't have liked this"!
I saw Rob Pike despairing.
In terms of places to learn tech I recommended Technology Connections, Coding Adventures, Acerola, Josh's Channel, & Ben Eater.
Technology Connections has said he disapproves of tech which pretends to think for you, & that computing for some reason is now using *more* energy.
I specifically cited Acerola's anti-"AI" video, its funny!
All I can say about Coding Adventures is that clearly Lague considers counter to his teaching method.
I can't say for Josh...
Ben Eater is not ashamed to be seen using it, so exception there!
And I quoted Le Guin for a definition of "technology". Diseased, but I can say she was quite radical!
