Something that occurs to me...
The people I've cited in my recent talk ( https://adrian.geek.nz/alt-tech-futures.pdf ) ended up mostly being those who wouldn't mind me being anti-"AI". Some of them were chosen for that reason, but certainly not all!
Dijkstra's dead but I do know he didn't like the field of AI even being founded, considered natural-language programming to be a pipe dream, & liked the idea of people saying "Dijkstra wouldn't have liked this"!
I saw Rob Pike despairing.
