Da boids
Every sign has it‘s original story.
I ask myself how these silly humans threted the Crows beforehand so that it became neccesary to put this sign.
Crows are extremely intelligent. A friend of mine used to feed the crows that perched on the edge of the roof for a while. Then he got tired of it and started throwing small stones at them. The birds would follow him along the gutter. And whenever he got within range, they would poop on him.
Never mess with a Crow!
@pluralistic @cR0w we should steal it
@pluralistic As usual, the Germans hiding the lede: it's not just "birds", it's corvids, that means they won't just attack, they will have planned where, when, and how to attack, and will have taken your name.
@Illuminatus @pluralistic That's what you get if you crowsource your translations.
@Illuminatus @pluralistic What you need is some Aussie magpies! Not a corvid (somewhat related to the butcherbird), they've been witnessed teaming up to take down corvids...
[Hey, what could go wrong importing agressive species with no local predators? 😜 ]
@FunkyBob @pluralistic TIL about the Aussie magpies <and> that Corvids are a subtaxon of Passeriformes.
The English translation is sub-optimal.
Google translates the German text more accurately as "WARNING! Danger from attacking crows."
