Another round of garlicky aged chevre. This time I just grabbed all sorts of random things from the spice cabinet. Let's see how this turns out...
Post
The aged garlicky smoked paprika chevre I made last year kept just fine in the basement while we were away for 3 months this winter. And it is now *heavenly* when grated finely and dumped on *everything*
@sundogplanets I bet it would be delicious over/in tomato soup.
@sundogplanets My mouth is watering just reading your description! 😋
@sundogplanets I was telling my wife about you, in the context of a conversation about identity. oddly enough, and I realized I didn't know whether your goats were for dairy or meat. (Halfway through the conversation, we happened to drive by a small meat goat ranch.)
So, does this mean the goats are primarily for dairy?
@GeePawHill Yeah, my primary goal here was to get all (or at least most) of my dairy from animals I personally know have very good lives.
@sundogplanets Cool. We ranch chickens for egss, and grass-feed beef, and also make a certain amount of cheese, but that's from a hyperlocal raw milk dairy whose operators we trust.
@GeePawHill NICE! I thought I was already following you but apparently wasn't. Hope to see some cheese posts in the future!
