Another Whelan original from the Barry Lamka collection is up for auction on Heritage. A rarity in that it showcases Michael's draftmanship and dates way back to 1979.
This was a study for the ALIENS! anthology, a fan favorite edited by Gardner Dozois and Jack Dann (Pocket Books). Cool piece that I hadn't seen before. ~ME
