what's your favorite low key pleasurable sensory activity?
not like sex or drugs or rock and roll but like...making coffee. lying in the sun. i know someone who really enjoys weeding vinyl and when the mood strikes me i genuinely enjoy washing dishes.
@shauna FILING. I have a lot of personal files and I moved house a few years ago and the last part of this whole transition was taking a set of files which I'd had in deep storage and what I call my "working" files and combining them, ditching a lot of old paper and making some new categories for stuff. Along the way there was some pleasant nostalgia, I found a few things to give to people, and I recontextualized the categories in my life. Plus a lot of bending and stretching.

Peeling the stickers off of things, e.g. jars

I find it an exercise in patience, which is probably the source of my perverse enjoyment of this. Like I'm really stickin' it to the version of myself that is too impatient to do this

I don't fully understand it myself but we have these vinyl free DC patches that can iron on to clothes and stuff, and you have to remove part of it once it's printed, and that's called weeding. I could be getting that wrong but that's my best explanation
