Fwiw folks, I'm the one who was telling you America has always been fascist, like back in 2014 even. So you don't need to keep telling me that in my replies.
The issue is the words "Republican Party." If we want to talk about the GOP specifically embracing fascism as a political platform, it's muddy because there has been not one, but TWO major political shifts in American history that DRAMATICALLY changed who was in which party.
There was a time in America, where Black people voted Republican because Republicans were not the slavers. And there was a time when white Southern racists voted Democrat, because Democrats were the ones protecting the Lost Cause Neoconfederate culture.
Our history is little messy.
And you can't just keep saying nothing is different when shit clearly is different even from 10 years ago. Yes, America was always fascist - but this "yeah I fucking LOVE Hitler" stuff is also a real development.
There has always been a "right wing" in America, it has almost always been dominant, and it has always been fascist.
There has also always been a "fascist lite" brand of liberalism, and its values "capital yes, people no" have not changed.
Those things are true.
it's just when you put the party NAMES next to them, you have to remember they'd flipped positions with each other a couple times now.

I beg to differ.... there was a Democratic party from the 60's, (when the racists left the party and became Republicans), through today, that is incredibly superior to the Republicans in an overwhelming number of ways. Fascist? No you are way off and maybe a Maggot to make a lie that big. Too supportive of capital? You are right about that.
