Ooof. Wife's laptop does not have a user for me. And hers is set to hungarian layout. Yikes.
It's also running NixOS 24.11. This'll complicate things.
Of course half the things aren't cached anymore, so... recompiling niri & ironbar for funsies, just so I can set the locale to English.
Well, keyboard set back to English. Firefox still talks Hungarian. But I can live with that. An SSH key so I can ssh home, and laptop should be set.
Aaand done. Verified I can SSH home. Not very convenient, and the WiFi config is a bit awkward, but... I can make it work well enough to last a few days.
I looked in the mirror. I should not have.
algernon goes to shave because he looks like a lost caveman
I will do a mask count at the airports like last time. Pretty sure I will be disappointed again.
Oh. I need to write down the hotel address so I can, like, find my way there from Utrecht train station.
...are trains even available that late in the evening?
I seem to recall they run 24/7, but it was a while ago I checked. Kinda too late now if they don't (there's still Uber, I guess, but... $$$).
Good. Looks like there's a train every ~15 minutes or so.
Oh. And the hotel is a 3 minute walk from the train station. Awesome. How did I not know that.
I shaved. I look like 5 years younger.
Leaving home in ~30 minutes. Last minute "what the fuck am I leaving home" panic sets in, and I'm looking through everything.
~5. I should put my pants on.
At the airport, got through security. Pants are on. Masks off. Not mine, mine's up, but I've seen two masked people this past 30 minutes, and one of them was in the mirror.
