A pre-sunrise photo from Death Valley National Park made at the salt flats of Badwater Basin. The flat ground is covered by shallow water, with knobby salt formations visible above the water. The sky is clear and the surrounding landscape reflects in the very calm water. The scene ist mostly tinted in cool blue and purple tones. Behind a dark slope on the left side, the sun will sun appear and the sky is a lot brighter and has warmer colors in this area.
