Sooo I want to work on the FaceKit face tracking stuff on stream, but I obviously don't want to show my camera...
Any suggestions for "talking head" videos that are expressive and won't get me in copyright trouble? ^^

@lina Maybe there’s some fleshtubers (what a terrible term that is) willing to donate some snippets to build up a public domain library of face tracking videos?
(As a tangent I have for a while thought that genuine open and intentional training data is in the open source spirit. One of the biggest AI issues are socioeconomic, which is an elite access. Cost and behind closed doors.
Like the vulnerability scanning, it would be better if it was truly free (like open source) so it can be ran on everything.
So an open training library for face tracking would be great too.)
@lina I saw recently on reddit a video about somebody using a half life 2 mod to bypass discord's age verification. In the comments people said it was gmod, it allowed them to move the face and make (silly) facial expressions
Maybe half life is too old but some newer videogame that allows you to move your characters face might work?
@lina how Boring and Corporate do you want to be? If „very“, VCD has you covered https://github.com/microsoft/VCD (cc attribution license)
@lina i forget if they recorded anything particularly emotional for this, I only know video tangentially. I suspect not. But maybe that with a vtuber avatar is funny in its own way
@halcy Oooo that sounds really useful!
I have someone offering to record something specific but this will be great to run through once things work, to see how it behaves under different conditions/qualities ^^
Ideally:
@lina doesn’t wikimedia commons contain some videos matching your criteria? like, for example, this interview: https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?search=interview&title=Special%3AMediaSearch&wprov=acrw1_-1&type=video
@sela Aha, I totally forgot about commons! Yeah, some from there would work well, thanks! ^^

Conversations with NPCs in Starfield should fit the bill.

@lina consider some #SFM content?
Propably not #Ponies, but like #STblackST's skits?
