it’s very funny to see mid open source boys barge into threads and declare that the other posters must not have made enough contributions or opened enough PRs, on mastodon of all things
not that it matters because it’s a shit thing to gatekeep, but it might be less humiliating next time if you assume everyone on here has in fact contributed a significant amount to the projects they’re discussing and uhh that’s why they’re discussing them
it is of course extremely rich to gatekeep someone else’s contributions when, at a cursory glance, you happen to use a massive amount of LLM tokens on generating and pushing slop code into open source projects
it’s weirdly common overall that when you look up these boys’ supposed contributions, they’re provably a net negative
weird, I wonder why the most toxic drains I’ve ever met don’t want us to examine social issues and LLM usage in open source projects?
