I mean y'all were here right? Y'all heard me pointing out how the media wouldn't even utter the WORDS "General Strike" even though those WERE the words being used by organizers? Y'all saw me pointing out the shitlibs trying to divert you to some economic protest they counter-organized that wasn't a General Strike, right? You remember that? You remember me pointing out how the General Strike had forced the CEOs to demand Trump stop but the media barely reported it? Yes?
Why you think that is?
@AnarchoNinaWrites : how do you organize a general strike without seize the means of information?
Or: why aren't anarchists trying as hard as they can to to reach as many people as possible?
To me, the reason we're not having revolutions all over, is that 1) too many people don't know what to do and giving up is easier and 2) we're isolated and individualized instead than organized. We don't know our neighbors and we hate our co-workers.
@forse I mean yeah, there is definitely a major "people don't talk to their fucking neighbors" problem going on here.
But I also think you have to remember that media capture is a thing. There are people saying this shit. Their voices are not being amplified - but some of it is getting through. See again, Minneapolis - they didn't all just decide to do it. That had to be organized, the message had to be spread about what a General Strike is and why it works. We're behind, but we are doing it.

what struck me when I tried to join some local anarchist groups, is that building up numbers, or at least doing some outreach, was very much NOT a priority.
I legit joined a syndacalist union and they told me they didn't have enough people there interested in doing outreach, which to me was... The fuck do you even "general strike" with 10 people?

I will tell you why:
It's because it works. And the worst fucking possible outcome for your establishment is absolutely NOT that "Trump becomes Hitler and some of us who won't collaborate go to jail" - it is not. Look at how they act? That proves it is not.
The WORST possible outcome for your establishment is that you ever realize you have the power to bring THEM to heel, by shutting off the money. If you figured THAT out? Their whole machine to control and extract from you would break.
That is why they won't call it a General Strike, even when you do. That is why shitlib "grassroots organizers" tied to the Democratic Party want you to do milquetoast symbolic boycotts, not a General Strike. That is why they won't tell you that your General Strike in Minneapolis worked and indeed was the ONLY THING that worked.
They are way more fucking terrified of you figuring out you're not a commodity but a person with agency and demands, than they are of the Pork Reich.
Fascism isn't so bad for rich people. They usually survive fine if they just agree to kiss Hitler's ass a bit.
You seizing the power? Would be a disaster for every single one of them.
