@randahl
It's a country in fear ... like the #USA since #georgewbush ...
@randahl A violent police force is key to maintain an autoritarian government, so your post answers your question, partially at least.
"Accept" it? They LOVE it. 90 to 95% of Israelis enthusiastically support Israel's genocide of children.
Israel must be abolished and its supporters punished.
@Quasit is 95 percent a number you came up with, or do you have a link to a source which documents this number?
@randahl @Quasit it's sick colonial society.

@randahl
Good to see people protesting, though.
And the girl is tougher than the whole bunch of goons trying to repress protesters: love how she's making the "Victory" sign while being carried away.
@randahl Doesn't look like they're accepting the Netanyahu regime; in fact, it looks like a bunch of Israelis are getting their asses kicked for protesting against the regime.
I'm American. I know the shame of existing in a country whose leaders do the opposite of what the people want. In the US, we got this way through systemic bigotry and corruption; Israel has its own reasons for how they ended up with Likud.
There's resistance in the US, as there is in Israel. The people aren't a monolith.
I"ll never understand why Americans accept the violent, crude, and rapacious Trump regime.
Would you have them take up arms against the government?
(Nearly everyone has automatic weapons at home as virtually everyone was or is in the army.
Post regular duty everyone is in the reserves until at least 40, officers 45. Reservists have been called up multiple times since October 7th.)
Like all parliamentary systems, the government continues for its full term absent a vote of no confidence.
Elections are scheduled for October, the end of the current government's term.
