@decryption Meh. Talk about sport all you want! People have the interests they do, and you don't owe anyone any apologies for that.
The only caveat I'd give is to ask you to use hashtags when you do talk about sport, so those of us who aren't interested in it at all can just filter out those particular posts. A few people I follow also post a lot about particular sports, and the filters work just fine.
@decryption I feel that. I'm a life long Carlton... I only admit that here because no one else that knows "sportsball" me will even be anywhere near a Mastodon thread😀 Tonight i get to watch Carlton & Storm both playing at 7.30pm and drown my sorrows in split-screen style 😭
@decryption there’s a small sport community here. As a geek/nerd also very into sport, I’ve never understood the “what even is sport” disdain from parts of the community. Dig what you dig and be about it, and don’t yuck others’ yum.

I feel you though - my team in the NRL is genuinely a chance of not winning a game all season. That has not occurred in over 60 years. We've lost 14 straight and not tasted victory since August last year.
Outside of this game, North Melbourne appear to be doing better on the ladder than in previous years?
