Folx, what are the easiest ways to create GUIs? I want to steal ideas from there for my own UI toolkit 🙃

I don’t consider WYSIWYG/no-code editors for now, maybe later?

I mean, HTML is one of the big things and is fun to play with, but we have to acknowledge downsides: non-immediateness of the syntax, need for JS for “rich” GUIs, and inability to speak to the system directly from HTML.

@aartaka if you want support for:

assistive technologies through OS accessibility APIs
internationalization
localization into right-to-left languages
keyboard navigation
cross platform
Wayland on *Nix systems
Dark/light palettes

I don’t know of any options other than Qt and Web.

Flutter can get close but it’ll be single-window and desktop is a second class platform; any desktop integration bugs get a low priority and never get work done, and outside contributions to low priority bugs are unlikely to merge.
