Lucas (5) clearly grasps a principle of competition that I think many adults do not, or forget later in life: at the grocery store, he wanted a bag of popcorn of flavor B; I suggested flavor A instead, knowing he prefers it. He explained that Riley also likes A, so if he gets it he has to compete with her to eat it. But if he gets B, he has it all to himself.

@steve i quite liked hearing that nash very casually mentioned that the solution to an iterated prisoner's dilemma is completely different than a memoryless one. in this case, riley has incomplete information, so it doesn't quite apply
@steve this is however one reason i definitely search for research topics that aren't interesting to others because you can win quite easily this way. and i was never very good at the typical stuff anyway
