Sigh, had some very strong students totally phone in their final project (graded accordingly). They did way worse than the rest of the class, totally just threw stuff together and turned stuff in with almost no thought. 馃槩 #teaching

i'm about 1/3rd of the way into mine and braced for a nasty surprise but so far it's going ok
@inquiline I am wondering if I should have been harder on grading the good students earlier in the semester, to keep them on notice. They breezed through the assignments (smart kids) but definitely were speed running them....
i'm the wrong person to ask as all i do is require less and less work and lower my standards and then lower them again. everyone i know is at a loss these days, and overall the situation defies comprehension
