@hipsterelectron I kinda miss when "Every line of code you write is a liability.” was a thing people actually still recognized.
Seems we went from that to "Lines of code are the metric we're optimizing for" within the span of like 3 months and now it's just treated like a normal thing.
@hipsterelectron Imagine if this were how other engineering jobs worked.
Optimizing bridges, buildings, trains, to have the maximum possible points of failure.
Every mistake gets a quick spot-weld or some duct tape on it, and is then built on top of, until it eventually explodes.
