I’ve observed that there’s a delightful number of you who might lick things from outer space.
Post
@NanoRaptor Would.
Here I am licking a dolmen, which as far as I know is not from outer space. Weak sauce, I know, but it's the best I can do at this time.
@mjd Everyone: "here is some ancestral artefact from our first steps towards civilisation. From when humanity, ever afraid of the dark, were still finding ways to make sense of it, to find their way"
Mark: "perhaps.. a snack?"
Me: Jealous honestly.
@NanoRaptor In my blog article about it I wrote:
“ How often do you get a chance to taste a piece of human prehistory?”
and
“As a little kid you discover that the world is full of all sorts of fascinating stuff that you may be allowed to look at, but not to touch, and certainly not to climb on or to lick. (“Don't put it in your mouth!”) Dolmens are a delightful exception to this rule. Sure, lick the dolmen all you want. It has stood in the same place for five thousand years, and whether it stands there for five thousand more will not be affected by any amount of licking.”
@NanoRaptor Taste the stars.
