Blakey ran a kind of finishing school for high-end players. He'd trained Clifford Brown, too.
The sax here, Benny Golson, wrote this song, remembering Brown, who died young.
Lee Morgan, I'm like, had I known a trumpet could make these sounds, I would have practiced more.
