you need to figure out how to recognize when the harm of allowing indecision to continue outweighs the harm of a suboptimal decision, and to engage the override.
that is what the override is for. that will have been the correct decision.
some people say "do it scared". i respect this adage. for me, it is insufficient. i am in fact not afraid when i am indecisive. or perhaps the fear is so constant and overwhelming that it fails to register as a distinct perceptual experience.
for me, "indecision is a decision" helps me to claw this back. now i can compare!

known issues => can it be tested or measured? is there a safe alternative for these cases?
defense in depth => what unexpected breach is most likely to compromise system guarantees?
when a decision is discovered to have resulted from an error in judgement => what category of judgement error?
