Back in 2019 I spoke at the NLNOG conference. My speakers gift was a Raspberry pi 4. I've used it as a webhost and dev box until a couple of months ago when the SD card failed for the second time in 6 months. In the hope of something a little more reliable. I have finally powered up my turing pi 2 which has a cm4, and a RK1 board installed. This time I have an NVME SSD, which I'm hoping is a bit more reliable than SD cards...

@quixoticgeek I've used usb sticks or drives for Pis to have more reliable storage. I think the pi4 can boot of usb...
