With the arrival of https://www.subvert.fm the list of artist-driven music platforms has become even longer. Managing a presence across all these platforms is, if not a full time job, at least a full-time distraction from actually creating music.
Perhaps what we need is to agree on an API that makes artist music data available across all these platforms and on personal sites?

With wavepin, you can manage your own discography kinda like an RSS feed on IPFS without the need for any single running service.
These artist-run music stores would simply need to pull your catalog from your IPFS CID
